Why work with me
Nathan DetwilerFounder · NDetwiler Travels
Planning a great trip should feel exciting, not like a second job. I help you narrow the options, compare the value, and find the right cruise, resort, itinerary or room type, then I handle the details so you can book with confidence.
I don’t just sell travel, I travel, a lot. Since 2022 I’ve helped people just like you with over $2.5 million in travel. We’ve been recognized as a Top 100 agency in North America with Virgin Voyages, a brand I fully stand behind, years in a row. From Royal Caribbean and Carnival to Alaska, Europe, group cruises and all-inclusive resorts, I use real experience to help you skip the guesswork.
Best part: my planning usually costs you nothing extra. I’m paid by the cruise lines, resorts and tour operators, not by adding a fee to your vacation.

Plan this trip →However you like to go
From adults-only voyages on Virgin Voyages to refined sailings with Celebrity, Oceania and Regent, and intimate river cruises along the Rhine, Danube and Douro. I focus on the suites, the dining and the ships where the experience itself is the point, concierge and butler service, the best cabins aboard, and shore excursions actually worth getting off for.
Plan a cruise →Not all all-inclusives are created equal. I steer you toward the adults-only and luxury-tier resorts, private plunge pools, butler service, à la carte dining and quiet, uncrowded beaches. Whether it’s a swim-up suite in the Riviera Maya or an overwater villa in the Maldives, I match the resort to exactly how you like to unwind.
Find my resort →Private and small-group journeys with expert local guides, hand-picked hotels and access you can’t book on your own, an after-hours museum tour, a chef’s table, a sunrise you’ll have to yourself. From the capitals of Europe to luxury safari camps, the logistics disappear so you’re free to simply be there.
Plan a tour →The trips that mark the moments, honeymoons, anniversaries, milestone birthdays and once-in-a-lifetime celebrations, planned with the touches that make them unforgettable: suite upgrades, champagne on arrival, a private dinner under the stars. Tell me what we’re celebrating and I’ll take care of the rest.
Plan a celebration →Symphony of the Seas was absolutely stunning, like a floating city. A private cabana at CocoCay, plus Nassau, Puerto Rico and Puerto Plata… memories I won’t forget. The next one’s already on the books. We rate him a 10 and highly recommend.

Virgin Voyages is adults-only (18+), with tips, WiFi, group fitness classes, and most dining included up front. It is stylish and a little nightlife-forward, and it is a favorite for couples, friend groups, and LGBTQ travelers. As a Virgin Voyages specialist I can match you to the right cabin, or a RockStar or Mega RockStar Suite, which add a personal agent, priority everything, and extra perks.
Alaska's cruise season runs May through September. May and September bring smaller crowds and lower fares; June through August are the warmest with the longest days and the best wildlife viewing. Glacier and shore-excursion availability is strongest mid-season.
For closed-loop cruises (round trip from the same US port) you can often sail with a birth certificate and a government photo ID, but a passport is strongly recommended, and it is required for any cruise that flies to or from a foreign port. When in doubt, get the passport; it saves headaches.
Adults-only resorts are quieter and built for couples and friends, with romance, spas, and upscale dining. Family resorts add kids clubs, water parks, and connecting rooms. I match the resort, room category, and location to exactly who is traveling, from a swim-up suite for two to a multi-room villa for the whole crew.
Absolutely. Honeymoons, anniversaries, milestone birthdays, and LGBTQ travel are some of my favorite trips to plan, from adults-only sailings and overwater villas to the resorts and ports best known for being welcoming and fun. Tell me what we are celebrating and I will tailor it.
For the best cabins and rates, 9 to 18 months out is ideal, especially for suites, holidays, and peak summer sailings. Last-minute trips are possible, but selection and pricing are limited. Booking early also locks in lower deposits and more flexible payment plans.
For most vacations, nothing extra. I am paid by the cruise lines, resorts, and tour operators, not by adding a fee to your trip, so you get expert planning, perks, and a real person to call at no added cost.
